Yes, this is on purpose. The mixer has an internal limiter on the digital inputs.

Dim 900nxs2. Channel clip lights
Hi, I have noticed that when connected digitally (cdj2000nxs) the channel clip lights don't come on when over driving, even if the trim is turned to max. Does anyone know if this correct? The same cdj some track connected to line in (rca) I lights work fine? Many thanks.
