Rekordbox App for Ipad?

I know there have been other posts about this, but is there no further update on when there will be a rekordbox  app for ipad. Why has there not been one before now given the statement on the box of the XDJRX is "made for iPhone/ipod", assuming therefore also ipad - or at least I did

Its a bit crappy that the iPhone version has to be used on ipad, so big blocky screen and not landscape view compatible.

Come on pioneer, make it ipad friendly also !

@Declan > I understand how this can be an inconvenience to some users who want to use rekordbox mobile on their iPads.  But from a business standpoint, the cost to develop and maintain an iPad specific app would be extremely high.  Especially considering it is free to use.  That's not to say there will not be an iPad in the future, but I don't imagine the product planning team considers this to be a high priority.

Thanks for your quick response; and honesty too. Strikes me as unusual though as moving forward in the digital era and with all things apple related being good business for any company to work alongside, and also the fact that the packaging on the XDJRX referring to as slightly more than a link with Apple, actually going as far as to say "made for iPhone" (albeit not specifically referring to iPad as such), I would have thought an an iPad app would then also make perfect sense.

Obviously doesn't make good business sense as you have suggested. And although I didn't buy the XDJRX for iPhone usage, i think the two working together would actually look pretty good. I would def have used it a lot more with my iPad - sadly I don't think I will ever use it with my iPhone.

I have to disagree with the stance this is a low priority. Let's be honest, before the iPad, the world still turned, but it's here and a great tool that could be put to far better use for Pioneer DJ.

pioneer are in a very good position, monetising most aspects of their business, and I would expect do quite well from it, hence great recent developments in both hardware and software, and "one ecosystem" . Tablets in general are a big part of technology and one area where Pioneer could capitalise to cement their position.

The current app feels clunky and dated and does not showcase the software very well.

it should remain a companion app, not a desktop replacement, but could offer greater prep options.  The GUI is desperate for an overhaul, and the sync is slow and difficult.

Well said Anthony.... Mark u also refer to the costing involved to develop an iPad app.

this is Pioneer we are talking about here - it's hardly like they are short of a few quid 😉

And as is rightly said, surely an iPad  app would showcase the software even more. Is that not good business sense enough?? Charge for the app then even if that's the issue , because I would be willing to pay a one off charge for the app if it looked the part and done what I wanted it do. But like I say, it's not like Pioneer are short of a few quid either!

Pulse it has been quite some time since anything has been done to Rekoedbox for iOS specifically iPad/Pro. I just purchases the XDJ line (1000 MK2) and (RX) and am finding the wireless technology very useful. I see a tremendous amount of potential.

i am up for assistance in beta or with development if anything is going on....

let me know.
