BSOD in Windows 10 caused by 900nexusAudio64.sys

I'm using the DJM 900 Nexus as my audio interface for Traktor 2 2.9. The problem is occurred after I update my OS from Windows 7 to 10.
Full name of the problem that appears on the BSODs screen is: driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (DJM 900nexusAudio64.sys)
Anybody know how to solve this?
Some more information:
OS: Windows 10 x64bit
Intel i7, 8Gb RAM
Traktor ver.2.9 32bit.

@Pulse

I recognise that you have a seriously difficult job fielding all these comments.

I hope you dont take things personally. I really hope that Pioneer understand the seriousness of this issue that has been dragging on for far too long.

This is the most frustrating problem, but unfortuneatly it is causing a lot of other problems.

I have had gigs cancelled and until I found a "workaround" e.g. finding different hardware that works, there were weeks when I couldnt work.

It was either that or "bricking" the laptop and starting all over, which is a huge task.

@Tim > I'm a DJ as well, so I understand the frustration of things not working when they should or you expect them to. But as a working DJ, I also understand the importance of not only knowing work-arounds to any pre-existing problems, but also having a backup plan for any unknown and potential problems.

As was previously posted, this problem doesn't exist for all Windows 10 / Traktor / DJM users, so replicating the issue and troubleshooting the cause has been a major step. It seems they've been able to find the cause, and are working on solutions (with the beta of the updated driver), so hopefully we'll see it released to the public soon. They're not rushing it as they want to ensure it fixes the problem for all instead of creating additional problems.

I still dont understand why you dont take advantage of the fact that you have a number of people here, with setups/configurations which are repeatedly producing the issue.

Surely we are the ideal beta testers, if we accept the risk?

They're aware of the users who are having issues, but it's their decision not to distribute the drivers, sorry.

Since Native Instruments got Stems i am not using RB anymore. But i want a good Mixer in my Setup and not a cheap Hybrid.

Just to add another voice. I have DJM-850 (only for about 2 months) running on windows10 64bit (KB3149135 - 26/6/16) and Traktor Scratch Pro 2.10.2.9 -  all regularly checked for updates and as far as I know fully up to date. Traktor running in 32bit so as to be compatible with the mixer (NB the trouble I had with this before finding out that you couldn't run in 64bit was unbelievable!  Hours and hours, Very frustrating but I got there in the end, until this BSOD suddenly starting happening.)

I can see this has been going on for a long time now and share the disappointment that Pioneer haven't been able to resolve this more quickly.  Windows 10 is now exclusive on all "new" laptops so no option to roll back.

last couple of gigs I've been getting BSOD and it says:

error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (DJM 850Audio64.sys)

the driver itself claims to be 32bit.

I run two identical systems (second PC as a backup) all set up exactly the same, so i switched it out, and the exact same issue occurred within about 10 minutes.  This is a major problem!  I see Pioneer say they are beta testing a new driver so I hope this will be made available asap!!  getting desperate...   I cant have this keep happening at paid gigs.

I may have to get my NI Audio 10 repaired and go back to my DJM-700S, which would frankly suck.

@DaveTheRave

Your current setup wont work properly.

There appear to be two issues here...and both are being worked on I can promise you that.

Issue one - 64bit drivers for Windows 10 and DJM850....Pulse (pioneer forum moderator) promises that Beta testing is going on for this....so we wait.

In the meantime I complained to NI with exact logs etc.

Long story short.... I am currently running a BETA of Traktor.

So far I have had success, but we need to wait for the whole Beta test to run its course.

In the meantime....NI audio 10 will work perfectly for you.

I dont think this is going to take much longer to be honest....I know its been a long haul.

@ Tim G

Thanks for feedback- Yes, did I read something about a Traktor version 2.10.3 coming soon?  :-)
I also read something on this thread about Google Chrome potentially having an influence.  Has anyone managed to prove whether there is any truth in that?

In fairness I did discover last night that both laptops did in fact have updates to Chrome pending, which I've now installed - I'll try testing again with the hardware connected when I get a chance to see if it makes any difference and will feedback...

I seriously doubt it has anything to do with CHROME. to be honest.

Hello all,

Pioneer DJ would like to provide the beta version of DJM-900NXS driver where the BSOD and crash issues were addressed.

Thanks to the valuable crash logs provided by many of you in the Forum, this beta version was made possible. We still are not sure if this beta version can be released as the final version because we do not have computers and setup to surely replicate these issues.

If you are interested in testing the beta version, please download the beta driver for DJM-900NXS from here. Sorry, not for DJM-900NXS2 yet !

If you find any issues in the beta driver, please create a ticket from here.

Also, we are now preparing beta drivers for DJM-900NXS2, DJM-850 and DJM-750.
Thank you for the patience until these drivers will be ready possibly in early next week.

We hope this beta driver will fix the serious issues you suffered from.

Best regards,

CRM, Pioneer DJ

I can see why it would work with the DJM900NXS2 when it is stated it is only for the DJM900NXS.

Meanwhile i won't install the drivers. I completely reworked my setup and whilst doing that i found out that Traktor behaved exaclty the same with a A&H K2.
So i am pointing my finger at Native Instruments for now.

Anyways: Keep up the good work Pioneer. I hope people here can use the beta driver and i will follow this thread to see if this will be a public release.

Some update has been made to the previous post since some of you misunderstand that the driver can be used with DJM-900NXS, too, but it is incorrect.

@ Keiko,

Thanks i will give this a try (DJM-850) but can you first confirm whether this is a 32bit or 64 bit driver please?  I as becuase I'm running traktor 32bit at the moment so not sure if this update driver would allow use in 64 bit?

Thanks
