@CJ > Traktor offers HID control for the CDJ-2000nexus... can I ask why you're trying to use the less-functional timecode method of controlling Traktor with a CDJ?
I am looking to get my computer setup to deal with using a DJM900nexus mixer as my sound card for djing out.
i downloaded the drives (verision 1.3 for mac) from pioneer and have that installed.
I have recently updated to Traktor 2.9 and have no issues using my native instruments audio sound card.
when trying to plug into a Pionner DJM900, i could play tracks out through the USB channels properly, but Traktor was showing no incoming time code signal to be able to control the track using the CDJ's to play the time code (in Input Routing, Timecode Setup or when looking at platter scope view on decks).
Is it really just a matter or running the setup wizard to make this work? (haven't done this before when i've setup my computer with other sound cards)
How can i get the time code signal to be displayed in Traktor to control the decks using the time code?
Mac OS 10.10.5
Traktor version - 2.90
Pioneer DJM900 Driver version - 1.30
Pioneer DJM900nexus fireware version - believe this is 1.31 but not confirmed
CDJ2000nexus were setup on channels 1/2/3 while trying this out.
CDJ's were setup with plugged into both CD/LINE and DIGITAL on mixer. Tone signal was coming through when playing audio just through mixer.
Traktor Output:
Deck A = Pioneer 0/1
Deck B = Pioneer 2/3
Deck C = Pioneer 4/5
Deck D = Pioneer 6/7
Traktor Input:
Deck A = Pioneer 0/1
Deck B = Pioneer 2/3
Deck C = Pioneer 4/5
Deck D = Pioneer 6/7
Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus Input
A = USB 1/2 > CH1 CD/Line
B = USB 3/4 > CH2 CD/Line
C = USB 5/6 > CH3 CD/Line
D = USB 7/8 > CH4 CD/Line
Pioneer DJM 900 Nexus Output
A = USB 1/2 > CH1 Timecode CD/Line
B = USB 3/4 > CH2 Timecode CD/Line
C = USB 5/6 > CH3 Timecode CD/Line
D = USB 7/8 > CH4 Timecode CD/Line

some places don't always have CDJ's that can handle HID mode and wanted to setup things to handle that situation if needed.
was able to go by my friends place again and try things out, 2nd time everything just worked properly. didn't change anything in setup, so not sure why it didn't work before.
looks like i'm all set now though.
@CJ > I understand, it's tough when you have a certain expectation of equipment and configuration and you show up to something less than what you're used to. ;)
Glad you were able to get it going properly.
