Tapping on it is a horrible idea as the vibration from the tapping would get picked up, and amplified, by the cartridge. Even a dampened button would still cause vibrations.
Further to that issue, even if you tapped in a tempo, how does the turntable know how fast to pitch the track based simply on tapping? It would have to know what the tempo of the audio was to begin with.

I agree with Pulse. The idea of adding a Tap button on a turntable is by default a throwback advantage and eliminate the possibility of improving skills as DJ

I switched to Traktor it has tap tempo.
