Restore master collection from USB

After upgrading to Windows 10 my computer became corrupted and had to be formatted so I lost everything. Unfortunately the guy in the shop did that without my permission and I lost everything before trying to save data.

My last Rekordbox DB and music backup was in early 2014 so needless to say I've added quite a bit of music since then. Is there an easy way to restore the mp3s and playlists from USB back onto the computer and into Rekordbox?

I've figured out I can sort info on USB by date added and copy back manually but unfortunately none of the extra info comes with the files including all my playlists etc. Adding to the pain is that I got the USB in early 2015 so the earliest date I can do that until is the start of the year and I don't know have to figure out the tracks added in between.

Also, I haven't opened up Rekordbox with the USB plugged in through fear of losing things in a sync.

Thanks for any advice you can give (apart from back up your data!!)

@Ed > Unfortunately there is no way to rebuild your rekordbox database from an export database. The manual copy procedure is about as good as you'll get, and you'll have to rebuild all your playlists and memory / cue points manually.

You can plug it in, but it won't sync as the new database is not recognized as being the original host database. Nothing will be lost unless you start writing (exporting) to the drive again.
