Out of interest why are you running the ddj-sb into a mixer ? Also where are you running the RCA from & too ? Which outputs & inputs ?

DJM 500 - DDJ SB
When I use my RCA cable to plug my DDJ-SB into the DJM 500, the sound doesn't come out from our amp. Help?

well, my amp is connected to the DJM 500, and it's a reeally old system, so the only way i can get through, is to go through the mixer. So i want to plug my SB into that, so I can have my music going through the amp. I'm also running a regular RCA cable from the RCA input in the SB to the Phono 3 in the DJM.
What connection do you have from your amp to the djm 500, XLR ? I would try not route through the DJM your DDJ SB has TRS & RCA outputs why not just buy the leads to connect to your amp direct ?
Thats aside if you want to stick with running it through the djm you should be going from the "output" on the DDJ SB to "Line in" on the DJM ( not phono as thats just for turntables )
I want to stick running it through the DJM, thanks a lot mate, really appreciate it.
Um yeah so there's a slight problem, um we plugged it into the Line, and no sound came out. All the volumes were turned up, we'd switched it from CD1/Line to Line, but nothing came out, and we also tried phono, but that didn't work either.
You have now plugged the RCA into the DDJ SB output sockets as well ? If so i would say its an issue with DDJ SB output then as it must not be putting out a signal, i think you need to try plug it into an amp separately & see if it works that way. If it does then it must be an issue with you DJM. Its just a case of trying every option in honesty i could probably sort it in 10 mins
