connecting computer to 2xcdj2000 and 1 djm2000 (win.10)

Ok so heres my problem, my old computer broke and i had to buy a new one,

i had all my music stored on it and rekordbox installed, not shure wich version though because i did decline some of those automatic uppdates for the reason that i had so much trouble getting the computer to let rekordbox pass thought the firewall, i actually had to turn the fire wall off for it to work

but back to my problem my new com puter runs windows 10 and after searching everywhere i finally found the cds with driverutines for the mixer and cdjs and a cd with rekordbox 1,2,0 so i installed it but now no messages about updating to a newer version of rekordbox pops up and i really have no idea how to set it up so it will link with my mixer and cdjs..

are there any tutorials anywhere? or could someone just guide me through the hole process?

as i said earlier i had very much trouble setting this up on my old computer eventhough i did exactly as in the tutorial that was availiable a few years ago , that computer had windows 7.

Sorry after a little fiddeling i got it to work but i still have to turn the firewall off or else i cant drag a song to the cdj icon and load it, if i dont turn off the firewall the link button appears but when dragging a song to the cdj it doesnt load it and remain white in color

any ideas? what setting could i have missed i have checked that the firewall is set to allow rekordbox to pass so thats not it..

and how can i update my rekordbox to a later version i believe the1.2.0 was the very first and i would really like to hav the latest or the one i had on my old computer i believe it was 3. something?

You can download the latest version of Rekordbox here: https://rekordbox.com/en/store/

thanks for your answer Mark! so i did download 4.0.5 and installed it

but now i have two rekordbox icons, one that says rekordbox 1.2.0 and one that just says rekordbox and if i click that one it just opens a window that says i have to create a rekordbox account or that you can use KUVO, i do believe i had KUVO on my old phone wich also broke awhile ago and i dont remember my password but luckilly i can log in with facebook. so the site i get directed to is just about club near me etc.

so how do i start the program?

i tried to start a new rekordbox account with another emailadress i also use but a message told me a system error had occurred and that i should try later

and another question do you have to pay for using rekordbox 4.0.5? read something about a 30 day trial..im just a bedroom dj mixing some music for fun

and is it compatible with the regular cdj2000 and djm 2000? the non nexus models..

Ok so i did a litte more fiddeling and finaly i could create a rekordbox account, i chose the 30 day free trial because the hole shebang was f*cking expensive!

now the problem is i can see the cdj and mixer icon but i cant load track to them!

they just show E-8302 PLAYER ERROR (C611)

and i still have to turn the firewall of for them to even show up at all eventhough i set the firewall to let all associated programs pass on both my private network and the public

and another thing when the program started it said i needed drivers but the cdj2000 and djm2000 was on the option list...

please help me out guys im clueless!

isnt there anyway i can get ahold of an older version of rekordbox a FREE one.

You may have a database issue.

Try importing some new songs into rekordbox and loading those.

If they load, you will need to use the relocate feature to have rekordbox find the new location for your old tracks.

After looking through the firewall exception list i found one i missed, so now i can load tracks and leave the firewall on but the link monitor to the mixer wont work, i never use it so its no biggie..but as loading tracks to the cdjs work i cant see why doing it to the mixer wont..

but is it as i believe that to use rekordbox you actually have to subcribe for it? that you never actually "own" the program?

Glad you solved the issue!

After the 30 day trial of rekordbox dj, you must purchase a license. You may do this one of two ways.

1) Purchase a license outright for $129 + tax

2) Subscribe monthly at $9.90 + tax per month
