DDJ-SB2 sticker/label on bottom

Hi, I was wondering what the KEY:xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx code on the underside of my DDJ-SB2 controller is for ? I dont want to test it out on a product only to find that product locked to that PC.

So it turns out it's simply to identify the unit in the production process, much like the serial number. That's all. Sorry!

It's certainly not rekordbox as the SB2 is not yet compatible.

It may be a key for the full version of Serato DJ...?

I've still not found a product this key matches, serato wont accept the last letter so it's not for that.

Did you ever get a answer for what this key is for, there a few DDJ-SB2 owners who are dying to know.

Yeah - see the official answer above; it's to identify the unit from production.

What is it you're looking for the serial number to? The unit serial number is on the bottom of the controller. There is no serial number required for Serato DJ Intro, and none is provided for any other software with the SB2.
