@Daniela > Well, that's a bit of an unanswerable question ... the DJM850 itself is not supported by the software as it's the CDJs or controllers you need to consider. They're what control the software and output the audio.

What is the hardware you're playing on besides the mixer?

@pulse firstly I would like to thank you for replying to me, I had sleepless nights over this, I am into 3 residencies playing from usb stick and it is a nightmare, the CDjs are nexus 2000. Another thing how easy will it be to switch between softwares? I play along with another dj, he uses serato and I will use pioneer dj, we switch every hour between his performance and mine, over 5 hours. Also how will be the connection, will we be able to be connect at same time? sorry to many questions but I am literally counting the hours to sort this. I was using Traktor for 2 years and have stopped 2 months ago started from zero with Rekordbox. Again thank you really appreciate your support.

@Daniela > It's quite simple - both software applications use USB. What you'll need to do is disconnect one CDJ from the active DJ's computer and connect it to the other DJ's computer. Then start playing, repeat the process for the second CDJ and you should be fine.

Disconnecting a CDJ from a computer while the software is playing music can cause problems. I Know Traktor crashes when you do that. It could be a better idea to switch to usb sticks before disconnecting.

Best case scenario, yes, using a USB drive to switch would be the best bet. Come to think of it, as Traktor requires the CDJs to be used as elements of an aggregate device, removing one of them would certainly cause havoc.

You're welcome. I stopped using Traktor too, and rely 100% on Rekordbox too. I an very excited about the link option in combination with a laptop. In fact you won't need Rekordbox DJ when you use it like that. You do need a network hub/switch/router. But the best thing is that your colleague can keep his laptop connected by usb, while you use the network connection.

@LeonHartog I tried to use Rekorbox for a gig and it was disaster, it works very well at home with my set up, but for some reason at the gig the beats were all over the place, could not beatmatch at all, the other guy was using serato fine, it was terrible experience, in the middle of the gig we had to redo wires, never again. haha Rerkordbox certainly not for djing :)
