Hi , I have bought full nexus2 set up , I have tried everything I have wiped my windows 8 and started again , I have downloaded all the drivers and firmware prior to connection dim 900 nexus 2 mixer . My magic audio recording software is 64 bit . Can anyone help please I am at the end my tether with this , I have spent £1000s and I can't record 😭😭😭😭
There is no timeline on availability of 64bit drivers.
As @lostnthesound notes, as the drivers for the DJM-900NSX2 are 32bit, you can not use a 64bit software as it can't load the drivers.
You will need to use a 32bit application to record from the DJM. If you want to use Traktor, there is a work-around to run Traktor in 32bit mode available here.

Sorry to ask the obvious Q here (It's just I've seen a few others make this mistake). Is it definatley the correct driver you have downloaded for the mixer? The nexus1 and nexus2 drivers are named very similarly.
I'm out of suggestions otherwise as I'm a Mac user.

I have noticed output routing is different how do you set up ? Not much info off pioneer
The NXS2 is my first pioneer mixer so I can't say how the driver output routing differs from the first DJM-900NXS (It's all new to me).
Like I said, I'm a mac user so this may not be of help but this is what my driver is configured like (pretty simple).
you must have a 32 bits software for recording because the driver is 32 bits and set up the signal mix rec out on the inputs 1/2

on pc i think its ok too if you use the asio driver

i think it's because traktor is an 64 bits version. the driver run on a 64 bits system only with 32 bits software

when it was pioneer nexus 1 mixer you had to configure the traktor to 32 bit , now the nexus 2 mixer is 64 bit this should work , unless someone knows different , its so frustrating this you would think it would plug and play

Your question was answered and it seems you're misunderstanding what is and in not 64-bit.
The 64-bit DSP (digital sound/signal processor) in the NXS2 mixer has nothing to do with the software drivers of the hardware. The Windows drivers for the NXS and NXS2 are 32-bit. As a general rule, 32-bit drivers will not function in a 64-bit environment. Traktor is a 64-bit app, hence, the reason why it can't "see" the NXS2–why it isn't available to select as an audio interface.
The bottom line is that neither the NXS or NXS2 have Windows drivers that are 64-bit. Therefore, the NXS2 can only be used in apps that are 32-bit based. Traktor is 64bit, hence, the NXS2 will not function. Your options are to find a 32-bit DJ app, wait for Pioneer to release 64-bit drivers, purchase a OSX based system or attempt to find a version of Traktor, pre 64-bit update. However, there's no guarantee that resorting to a 32-bit version of Traktor will enable your NXS2 to function as you wish.
Hopefully this will provide the clarity you're after.
Or just start the 32bit version of traktor that you have installed (and may not know about)

Drivers just aren't there for you yet, using 32bit traktor isn't that bad. I think you only lose ability to use all your ram (if you have lots) and to analyse multiple tracks at once on import to library.
Magix audio cleaning lab is 64 bit , but I have recorded on this before using nexus 1 djm 900 , when you go to 32 bit traktor the facility for recording goes , also you can't record on magix when traktor is open , heads mashed

I'm not the kind of person that's going to just say 'buy a Mac' even though it is a solution.
It does suck that it seems pioneer favour supporting Mac (it's the pro DJ choice I guess), especially given that you have spent so much on a product which doesn't support the most recent version of a very popular operating system properly.
I'd hold out if I were you, surely the driver is coming. For now just figure out a way you can record. Either use the microphone input on your PC or your phone (here's a vid showing how on an iPhone.... Though I'm betting your an android guy 😁 Either way the principle is the same and it'll get you by for the mean time).

Traktor records DJ sets internally/digitally using the audio interface/sound card that's setup in its preferences. If Traktor can't "see" the sound card, it can't use it–which means it won't accept internally routed audio for recording. With regards to Audacity, same thing–it's a 64bit program.
With regards to creating a 64bit driver, there's not a magic button that instantly converts 32bit to 64bit. The team at Pioneer have to literally rewrite/program the entirety of the driver from the ground up in order to conform to Windows OS 64-bit architecture as well as the multitude of variations from one PC to the next with regards to processor chips, motherboards, graphic/video cards, etc.
If you've never seen the absurd length of code required to run a program, you would be amazed. It's not a small feat. It takes time to develop, test, retest, test again and finally distribute once its been given the greenlight by. Could you imagine if Pioneer were to distribute a half-assed release of the driver to users? The backlash would be catastrophic and could cause everything from program crashes to even bricked (locked-up) hardware and/or computers.

hi john, the '64-bit mixing processor' just refers to the internal processing inside the mixer. it's basically saying it's a more powerful processor than the previous nexus mixer.
the internal processing capability has nothing to do with whether the mixer used 32/64 bit audio drivers but i can see why you got confused.
sorry if i come across a bit vague , im not up on all this tech stuff just want to record from usb to pc and play traktor , thing is it worked on my last nexus mixer which is confusing

Hey. Having same problem, cant record from USB like i did with my original 900nxs. I use audacity and all settings all same what was when i recorded with 900nxs but i dont get rec audio with 900nxs2..... I have to use REC out from back of my mixer :(
