Shielded USB cables won't aggregate CDJ's

So I got some nice shielded USB-cables to work with rekordbox DJ + CDJ's and my Macbook pro. Surprisingly they don't work to aggregate the CDJ's! Tried two different brands with the same result, no connection.

But here comes the weird part. After using a cheap unshielded USB cable to aggregate the CDJ's, unplugging it, and re-connecting it with the shielded one it works.

Problem is easy reproducible, happens every time. What's going on here, never heard about problems like this with shielded USB cables before.

That's a new new one and unheard on all my years working with computers !

I have a simpler ddj-sb2 with a shielded cable (Faraday cage and all) and the same for all my external HDDs and even printers....

I can tell you I have had problem in HDD using even the cables that came with them, especially the USB only powered ones though.

Curious to see what pioneer says on this one.

Quick update:

Created a new blank user for Rekordbox, did all the maintenance you can do on a Mac (restart in safe mode, reset PRAM & SMC) and now the shielded USB cables work. Strange.
