Hi,
I have a pair of CDJ 850s and recently one of them when playing a track from USB or a CD there is a slight distortion and hissing noise in the sound.
Firmware is all up to date (1.12), got new professional phono cables and it still persists.
At first I thought it might have been my Pioneer 800 Mixer as I've had it a while, got that serviced but the issue is still there. Using my other CDJ 850 through all the channels is fine and the sound is perfect. This therefore tells me there is nothing wrong with my monitor speakers either.
It has to be an issue with the CDJ. I thought i would post my issue here first, hoping its not something really simple that I'm missing before considering taking it for a service.
Cheers

Thanks Pedro. Will try that and if that does not resolve the issue its time to book it in for a service.
Hey Leon!
Did you manage to solve the issue you had? I've got the exact same thing in my CDJ 850 and it's driving me crazy. Need some help regarding how to fix this.
Thanks
Just an update for anyone else experiencing the same issue.
I tried cleaning the output connectors with a standard liquid cleaner but this did not solve the issue.
I took it to a local service center and there diagnostics, they advised there was nothing wrong with the unit and that the sound from playback was within Pioneers frequency guide.
However after telling them the sound was not acceptable and not what I expect from a Pioneer CDJ product, I suggested and offered to bring in my other CDJ 850 to do a like for like comparison with the sound so I can highlight the issue more clearly.
They were happy to do this and after doing the comparison and testing, they agreed that the sound on the CDJ was not how it should be and there was an issue somewhere.
After some testing they confirmed I needed a new output board to be fitted.

With the part and labour it was approx £130.
It's been well worth it as it resolved the issue.
