because of exactly what it says, all the audio runs through the mixer, thats the main sound card so you would use the master volume on the mixer

Hi BriChi, thx for the answer
so you mean that i should not care about the master volume on rekordbox DJ screen!!
So if I want to record my mixes i should plugg in the cabel on djm 900 nexus master out??? it`s that correct
thx for your replay
No, if you want to record, assign one of the inputs of the mixer to the REC OUT (in the DJM-900NXS settings utility), then within rekordbox, select that input as your recording source.
Hi Pulse
Thanks for your answer!!
iam NEW in to rekordbox therefor I could`t understands you
can you please help me out step by step please!!!
Please can anyone answer me!!!!!!!!
Here are step-by-step instructions for using rekordbox with the DJM-900NXS (or any DJM, really) to record:
- With rekordbox closed and the DJM-900NXS disconnected, first ensure that you are running the latest version of rekordbox, and that you have installed the current DJM-900NXS drivers
- Once you have the DJM drivers installed, reboot your computer
- After the computer restarts, connect your DJM
- Open the start menu, go to the Pioneer > DJM-900NXS Setting Utility
- Click the MIXER OUTPUT tab and change USB7/8 to MIX(REC OUT)
- Change the USB Output Level to -10dB
- Close the Setting Utility and launch rekordbox
- In rekordbox, open the Preferences and click the Audio icon
- Check that the device listed in the Audio box is PIONEER DJM-900NXS ASIO
- In the Input channels box, select Channel 4
- Click the Controllers icon
- Click the Others tab
- Check the location of your Recordings; if you need to, change it to somewhere you can easily find the files, such as your desktop
- Close the Preferences window
- Click the REC button to show the recording panel
- Load a track to deck 1, press play
- Adjust the TRIM on channel 1 on the DJM so the levels peak around 0dB
- You should now see the recording meter bouncing around, but not pinned in the red; you can adjust the recording level within rekordbox if you're worried the signal is too high and will clip during recording
- Press the REC button to start recording
- When you are done, press the REC button again and it will stop the recording, you will see a notice that the recording has been added to the Recordings branch of the tree
That's it!
Hi Pulse

Did that work for you?
Hi Pulse

hello I have a DDJ RZ and the same problem is happening, the sounds is too loud coming from Rekordbox and i cannot control it from the software. i.e i have to lower the gain from each track, is there a possibility to control this better like on Traktor ?
Thanks for your help.
