Dragging a Rekordbox Playlist into iTunes (problems)

Hello,

For a while I managed my files on iTunes and then once the music was organized and consolidated by playlist I'd drag the files into a Rekordbox playlist.

After upgrading begrudgingly to the newest iTunes I started sorting music in Rekordbox from a large group of music into a smaller group which I would ultimately transfer to my USB.  Then, to consolidate the files I'd drag the Rekordbox playlist into iTunes.

Now it seems I cannot drag playlists or tracks into itunes from Rekordbox and so now there is no easy way to organize the actual files of the tracks the way itunes does it.

Rekordbox just points to wherever each track is on my HD and if I want to free up space by, for example, deleting a record from an EP I do not have on my Rekordbox playlist I can't do it....

Help!

12.3.2.25 I can no longer dra

I can confirm that rekordbox playlists CANNOT be dragged into iTunes.  I will inquire as to why.

Which versions of iTunes and rekordbox were you using when dragging playlists worked the way you wanted?

Thanks for looking into this Mark-I'm using iTunes 12.3.2.25 and Rekordbox 4.0.6.

Also for clarity I was selecting all the tracks within a playlist in Rekordbox and dragging them over which worked previously and does not now.

Individual tracks do not work as well.

This wouldn't bother me if it hadn't worked before but now I've got a rhythm that I'd love to get back to!

:-)

You CAN indeed drag and drop individual tracks and multiple tracks from rekordbox to iTunes.  I'm running the same versions you are (on a MacBook Pro) and I just recorded this video.  https://youtu.be/nsTJtSpsTZc

Hey Mark,

thanks for looking into this and recording the video.

I actually restarted and things seem to work fine now.  I'm going to take a guess maybe it was memory related?

Happy that things are back to normal now.

Have a great night!
