DDJ RX : XLR stuck in Mic1 port

Yesterday I used a mic during a party. At the end of the party it couldn't come out. I tried pulling hard and to fiddle with some metal at the connection but it won't budge. I even cut of and dismantled the entire XLR wire so now I'm stuck with the iron part in my controller.

What do I do? I can't send it because I have alot of parties the next couple of months. Practically every week..

Thanks!

I guess it's too late to say "don't use a cable with a poor quality connector"?

Kidding, I'm not sure that's the problem, but unfortunately, short of sending it for service, I don't know what else to tell you - I don't recommend disassembling it yourself to remove it.

Hehehe I guarantee you it isn't a cheap cable :p But ehm.. are there document available on how the port is built? I just don't see how it's stuck at all other then there's no push button most devices have to remove an XLR. But the DDJ-RX doesn't have any as far as I know of right?

No, you're right - there's no spring-loaded "release" on the controller side, even if there were, it would only hold the connector itself, not the pins. It's entirely possible that a defective XLR female connector on the RX has somehow held the XLR pin from the cable in such a way that you won't be able to remove it without disassembling the cable and using a tool to pull the pin from the connector.
