Denon tried that, it sucked, who wants to plug in there laptop to a cdj to update an internal drive in it? I know i wouldn't, just plug in a flash drive to the usb port and you're set

Who plays cd `s these days.
Why not replace the cd drive in you cdj `s with a 3.5 inch hdd drive bay. 4 terrabytes of music on one cdj .

If you need 4 TB's of storage you're doing it wrong. Their current configuration is perfect.

I agree, it was time to cut the cord so to speak and ditch the the CD player, even if nothing took its place, at least it would be lighter.
