Can someone tell me if rekordbox dj Is as good as traktor pro 2? I will be buying one of the two in the next few days and want to know which will be better for me.
will be using 2 x cdj350s, djm 350, traktor kontrol x1, MacBook Pro, also does rekordbox dj support the X1?

I have just moved from Traktor Pro 2 to Rekorbox DJ. I'm using 2x CDJ-400's, DJM-600 & a Native Instruments Audio 2 Sound Card. I also have fully mapped an X1 Mk2 to be the perfect little effects unit for Rekordbox DJ.
So yes I would say that it was better :D Finding it a lot more stable with no pops or clicks to date. I'm also using an Mac Mini and its rock solid!

Are there any things that rekordbox dj doesn't have that traktor has? And also what about the choice of effects on both traktor and rekordbox? Also, do I need an audio interface? The Cdj 350 has a soundcard so I was told I don't need an external audio interface but will only be able to play using 2 decks and not 4 which I'm okay with as it will save me a bit of money
The 400's already have an audio interface too, but I already had an Audio 2 and used that instead. So I don't see any reason why you cant use the sound card in those.
As for features I haven't found anything that I couldn't do yet. I prefer the Pioneer effects too. Much better filter.
No regrets in switching, can only get better too.

Pretty self explanatory.
The top dial on each side is the Colour Effects Parameter
The other 3 on each side are effects 1-3 for each channel. use the button to turn them off and on. Shift and that button to changed selected effect.
The top 4 buttons (hot cue 1-4 on each side) are mapped to the Pad FX Group 1. Normal for channel 1 and hold Shift for channel 2.
The rest of it should work as you expect, the transport controls, browser knob, hot loop and size, press shift for secondary functions etc...

Do you guys have a solution for midi lights? When i toggle, the lights dosnt stay on.
And when i set the midicommand to toggle in the controller editor, i have to double-toggle in rekordbox. Odd and very frustrating.
