Official comment
Sometimes you have to quit iTunes and wait a while for it to write out the playlist XML file. It's not rekordbox, it's a quirk of iTunes.

iTunes 12.4.1.6 and Rekordbox 4.1.2
iTunes playlists are not synching to Rekordbox. I've checked the .XML share box in iTunes and refreshed the iTunes directory in Rekordbox. No fix.
Any help?
