How do i get the hotcue buttons to stop putting the CDJ in "Play Mode" when i press the hotcue button? .... that is so annoying.
This is more of a statement then a question....
Why would any intelligent product designer not put multiple values for the beat jump function?
The only DJs that use a 1beat beat jump are turntablists trying to setup a beat juggle. the beat jump values that matter are 4, 8, 16 & 32. Especially 32. That is the whole reason i bought these units, was to finally have 32 beat beatjump (phrase jump) in rekordbox using flash drives without having to connect to a laptop with Rekordbox DJ.
Talk about a complete design FAILURE! Jesus. That is one of the biggest features for Traktor. So much so that serato and rekordbox dj have added it to their feature list to compete with NI. So why wouldn't you guys make the beatjump value adjustable?

CDJs has been allways like that so its not failure....
if you read the post more closely you will see that i said the "design failure" was adding a beat jump function with only 1 value. Beat jump did not exist on previous models.
I'm well aware that the "auto-play" functionality on the hotcue buttons was on the previous models. But they built in an option to turn it off in the settings in the RekordboxDJ software after the release of the CDJ2000NXS. So the design/programming effort has been completed. Pioneer gives the user a choice when using their DJ software. There are similar new setting options onboard in the new NSX2 model like "hotcue auto load". All they had to do was put an option on the settings screen to turn that annoying autoplay function on and off.
Just use regular memory cues..... best of both worlds.
Hot cue auto load was allready there in RB 3.x. The autop start is a 'feature' of Hot Cue, if you dont want that, just use the Memory Cue's instead.
