DJM 900 NXS2 heads up!

So heres my 50 cent on the 900 Nxs2

The DJM 900 NXS 2 gets really hot on the sides, almost so you can fry eggs on it. I cant say i like that, my DJM 800 are idle when it comes to heat.

1. Would be great with adjustable EFX just like on RMX 1000, why not make a software that let us hook up the mixer to a computer and change parameters and modes.Would love to be able to tweak the filters and sweeps to get them more subtle.

2. Longer adjustable time on the vinylbreak, its way to short as of now.

3. Adjust the fadercurve, two modes feel almost the same, to little difference.

4. Stereo expander / Exciter - If there were a software for a computer, this could be implemented with the firmware. would help get more life
into the sound. Especially on older music.

5. Adjustable EQ Signatures to change the character of the EQ.

I cant get the limiter-lights to light up when on a digital channel, even at max.Master out, works though. Does it have to be on a analogue channel?

Overall a great mixer, feels allot more mature then the 900 Nxs was, and a real milestone in sound-quality.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, the clip lights are only for the analog inputs.

i fully endorse this, if Pioneer can create an application that allows for editing and customizing the NXS 2 it would be awesome. The remix box does take the RMX 1000 to another level.

NXS2 is the next puppy i want to adopt, while i am eagerly awaiting the SP16 release!

Just purchased my DJM 900 NXS2 and I have the same issue with the extreme heat especially coming from the bottom plate. Too hot to touch with bare hands. Called Pioneer today and spoke with tech group about this issue and they think it may be a problrm with the heat sink or simply a defective mixer. Anyone else having this issue? This one was built in March 2016. I haven't put it to use yet, to my disappointment come to find out it doesn't come with license for RB DJ or DVS so Im debating whether to return this mixer or not.

Same here the DJM 900 nexus 2 gets wayyyy to hot. I started feeling the heat under the faders removed it from case and the side and bottom are not hand touchable.
this is crazy for a 3k mixer.. Couple of hours before new years eve too.. Please have Pioneer Canada Call contact me.

Edit: Its the first time of use and it was om stand by not even mixing or using effect nor mics.. just standing there quiet..

Yeah, it get's hot but I'm not sure why is this such a huge issue. When I'm DJing I don't spend a lot of time touching the side or bottom panels. The mixer functions normally.

I know but there's other threads the mixer turning off or one of the channel letting go while playing

Those are isolated incidents. This can happen sometimes with electronics. This mixer is in the booths of almost every major nightclub in the world and on the stages at all the major festivals. That should be comforting for people who own it.
