I have had no problems with the DDJ-SR up until recently. Everything on it worked perfectly. But one day I went onto Serato and everything seemed normal. Except the sound from my speakers was extremely low. I had my speakers up as loud as possible and even had the Master Level up at the loudest too. These didn't help. I have the latest Firmware and everything is up to date. A lot of people online, that have had the same problem as I have, said it could be the soundcard that is the problem. Is there any way I can be sure of it or have them replaced? I also have not got the receipt for them, so is a replacement for them even an option? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

@Joel > The problem is almost certainly that your computer is not providing adequate power output to the USB port, and as such, the 1/4" TRS outputs will have low signal level. This is exactly why the RCA output is switchable to MASTER.

@Cian > Have you tried connecting the SR to a different USB port or using a different USB cable? A lack of power over the USB system could result in a lower output audio level. If there is no resolution with that computer, please test with another computer before considering sending the unit for repair.

I am also having the same problem as Cian. The output from the Main Outputs is incredibly low (almost unusably so), but when I use the booth monitor outputs the level is OK – much much louder than what the main outputs are putting out.
I have tried two different USB cables but to no avail.
Any help would be much appreciated as I am currently having to use the booth output as the master output each time I use the unit.

OK thanks for the feedback. So how do I rectify this? I'm pretty sure that I'm using the cable that was provided in the box alongside the DDJ-SR.
@Joel > It's probably not the cable, simply the USB port on your computer. Try using another port (if you have 3, try each of them). Some laptops also feature power saving modes, you may need to disable them for the USB devices so as to get adequate power to the SR.
POTENTIAL FIX (for mac users)
I have had this problem for a while and I finally fixed mine. I'm not sure of the exact steps that I took to fix it but this is the general idea.
First, connect your controller to your mac and go into your Audio MIDI Setup (it is a default application on your mac). You should see all of your audio devices including you Pioneer DDJ SR.
Create an aggregate audio device by clicking the plus symbol in the bottom left corner of the window. Next rename the aggregate device to the name of your controller (EXACTLY). You can do this by double clicking the text. In my case it was "PIONEER DDJ-SR". Then set this to your audio output in your System Preferences -> Sound.
This believe what this does is override your actual controller and cause some things to be reset (but I don't know for sure). My controller finally started to output audio when I removed the aggregate device and set my audio output back to the USB controller.
If this doesn't work, try making the same aggregate device and fooling around with some of the settings in Audio MIDI Setup.
