Installed rekordbox 4.1 "rekordbox cannot be opened because of a problem" on Mac 10.6.8

 Sucessfully installed rekordbox 4.1 (for XDJ-1000's) but when I try to open it I get a small window on my Mac (10.6.8) that says "rekordbox cannot be opened because of a problem" saying I need to make sure rekordbox works with this version of Mac OS X. Says I may need to reinstall the application. I've tried it a few times and nothing changes. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance.
