Firmware update mode XDJ RX

Hi,

i recently updated my firmware (yesterday) and it was working fine. I have come back to my XDJ RX this morning and every time it on, it comes up with "connect USB to port 1" and then after 5 seconds the screen changed to the main and sub load bar with a message in a blue box saying "firmware update is complete. Turn power off/on before using" which I do every time and it does the same thing every time.

Any ideas?

Right so the problem I'm having is that the unit works intermittently. Some days it will come on and work straight away, others it will turn on and ask me to insert USB into port 1. I then follow the instructions for updating firmware and all that happens is it comes up with the 2 load bars and says "firmware update complete, turn on/off before use" in which I then do so. It then comes back up with the insert USB in to port 1 message and with out pressing anything puts me back into the firmware update mode which it clarifies has already been updated. (Note; I have completed the firmware update unless there has been another, but as I say, this is happening intermittently)

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

My recommendation would be to use a different USB stick and try updating once more. If the firmware was in any way damaged or corrupted, it could be there was a problem and the system is not recognizing the code properly, even if it works one time.

If the problem persists, it's possible there is a hardware fault and the RX would need to be serviced. You can find a local Pioneer DJ support contact here.
