DJM S9 MIXER BUTTON FREEZE GLITCH

Hello everyone. So I purchased this mixer back in December and I was the happiest DJ on planet Earth. Then I started noticing a huge problem. I am not having any feedback issues like others are having. That issue is definitely confirmed as I've seen videos on youtube about it. The issue I am having is that the mixer will become UNUSABLE randomly while using it. That is to say that while using the mixer playing live the MIDI pads, loop functions, and scroll knobs all STOP working completely. The music keeps playing, Serato DJ is functional, and you can continue deejaying from that point. The problem goes away after powering down the mixer but as you can see that is a huge problem for a working DJ like myself. I have no other problems (except for glitches in Serato DJ of course) with the mixer (except for the paint chipping off near the crossfader) at all. I cannot depend on this mixer to perform flawlessly while playing in front of a crowd so it's useless to me. Don't get me wrong, I love the design and features of this mixer and in my opinion, it's the best mixer out there as far as two channel mixers go. When I first bought the mixer I was loving playing on it every time. Now I seem to be waiting for the problem to occur while playing which takes away my focus on performing. I do not know of it's Serato DJ or the mixer at this time but I want to know if I am the only one out there experiencing this strange issue. This is the greatest mixer I have ever used since 1996 but with all these glitches it's just a huge headache. I am hoping that this issue will get resolved soon. I have contacted Pioneer DJ and they want me to send it in for repair but my concern is, since this is an intermittent problem that only occurs randomly when using it, that they might not be able to replicate the problem and they will send it back to me stating that it works fine. I am past the return policy so I cannot return it. The extra warranty I purchased only covers accidental damage for the first year so that doesn't help me in this case. My only option is to hope that Pioneer DJ can resolve the issue. If they don't then I am out of $2000 and I will never buy another Pioneer product in my entire life. Please help Pioneer!

Specs are as follows:

Dell Inspiron 14R

Intel i5 2.53 Ghz

8 gb ddr 3

120 gb Samsung solid state drive

NO usb hub being used.

Serato DJ version 1.9.0

DJM S9 running firmware 1.06

This is a very simple and straight forward DJ setup with nothing else being used and a powerful laptop that is beyond the requirements. Please help. Others please comment here if you are experiencing this problem or any others so we a community can bring all these problems attention to Pioneer DJ. Thank you. I'm counting on you Pioneer!

@Eric > Engineers are investigating several complaints, this being one of them. All Pioneer DJ products feature a 1 year warranty from date of purchase, so no worries - you're good until at least December! Hopefully we'll have a solution long before that.

Which operating system are you running?

@Eric > Can you first try updating the firmware to v1.07 (released yesterday), and also update Serato DJ to 1.9.1.

If you still have the issue, I would recommend several other troubleshooting options:

- use a different USB cable / different USB port on your computer
- update your graphics drivers from these links (not Windows Update):

NVIDIA
Intel
AMD / ATI

- use MIDI-OX to diagnose if the S9 is still sending MIDI signal when the communication freeze occurs

@julio > Just as a tip, for future troubleshooting, when we ask for information like "Which version of Windows," just answering "Windows 7" is only so helpful. Providing the build number and any service pack details is generally a good idea. ;)
