DDj RX - compatibility and Rekordbox DJ license

Hello,

I'm going to buy the DDJ RX and would like to know the manufacturers opinion on some questions:

1) Since DDJ RX and DDJ SX has a very similar layout and both are 4-channel midi controllers. Is it possible to use the RX with Serato Dj?

2) The DDJ RX has a PAD FX section (instead of ROLL in the DDJ SX), and Rekordbox Dj has the option to edit the effects on the PAD FX. So can I configure the PAD FX buttons to have the same use as ROLL (i think it's possible by adding "Slip Loop" but still would like to have answer from you). And is it possible to add "Slip Loop" effect on PAD FX for more than 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1/1 beats?

3) Question is similar to the first one but i would still like to have a separate answer for that. There are some mapping files for DDJ SX to Traktor or Virtual DJ. And since the DDJ SX has very similar layout as the DDJ RX, is that possible to map the RX to Traktor or Virtual DJ just to be more universal depending on place you will perform?

4) When buying the controller - you get a license for the Rekordbox Dj. If i'll decide to buy a new computer, what will happen with the license? Will i be able to use it on the new computer or i will have to buy new license?

I've checked the similar topics, but they are pretty old comparing to amount of time the new controller is released, so i think it is always good to have the updated info considering new products.

1)  No.

2)  Yes, you can assign ROLL to the PAD FX.

3)  Yes, the RX can be mapped to other software.

4)  You can use one license on up to two computers.  If you got a third computer in the future, you could simply deactivate the license on one of your older computers and activate it on your new one.

Karolis. When you get the RX, do yourself a favor and at least try out Rekordbox DJ. I was a Serato guy, but have made the switch to Rekordbox DJ and I love it. There are so many cool features and I really prefer the overall workflow of RB over Serato. If you try it and don't like it, you could always map it to some other software, but mess with RB for a bit... it rocks!
