By the way, when I run the test, but using the external preamp, they 2 channels, sound the same way, which is of course what I expect, so the problem is in the internal preamps?

FollowPHONO inputs
Hi, I made an experiment, and noticed that Phone Input modifies the sound, it kinda puts too much in the middle frequencies.
The way I checked this is: I ripped a WAV into the computer, with a high quality card, with good pre-amps, specifically made for vinyl rip.
Then put this on USB flash drive, after this runned the track on XDJ and on the turntable at the same time, and sync them both. Swapping with the crossfader, I noticed differencies in the mid frequencies. Is this normal?
Because to me, they should sound the same, even the vinyl should sound better, but I have the feeling it does not. Probably I'll have to buy 2 preams, and use them, instead of the built-in preamp in the mixer?

Wait, are you using the phono input for a line level device? You do know that the phono inputs are only for turntables, correct?
Lol, of course I use it with Technics SL1210 MK2. And AT120E which is a very nice cartridge.
It's just strange, because I make a test - running the same track - from vinyl, and from the same ripped vinyl on XDJ-1000, as a WAV.
And it sounds better on the XDJ. Maybe not better, but the vinyl has more middle frequencies.. This is strange. They should sound absolutely the same, even.. the vinyl should be better.
I could say DJM 900 NXS2 has the best phono inputs up until now from all the models, it's just different RIAA I guess. Did the sound engineers tested it?
There is no EQ colouration on the phono pre-amplification; any difference would be due to the cartridge used.
The WAV I play on the XDJ is downloaded with the same cartridge. But still, it sounds very good (when I lower the middle a little).
Maybe there is a different colouration on my external pre-amp, and subjectively my taste likes it better.
Thanks, for the reply, I appreciate it.
