Hello, my 6-month old DDJ SX2 has started to experience consistent malfunction of Play/Pause button on the left deck. Once the track is loaded, a simple tap on the button does not result in track starting to play. Instead, I have to find a spot on the button where only after pressing on the button rather firmly the song would play and even then the button would have tendency to pause it immediately. Result: improper and consistent failure to play have the song play at required timing with mixing becoming impossible and consistently a failure and source of embarrassment. This is definitely unacceptable performance from near top of the line product. The defect is clearly physical, and result from poor manufacturing as I take extreme care of the controller from the the first day, transporting it in aluminum case and covered with Deck-Saver. I don't know if I got a "lemon" but the controller purchased 6 month ago definitely should work without any such issues. And that is in addition to the USB cable that came with the controller that stopped working 2 months ago.
How do you, PineerDJ propose to fix this problem???
It's possible the switch under the button has failed; please contact Pioneer technical support in your region to arrange for repair. If you're only at the 6 month mark, that repair will be covered by warranty. Sorry for the inconvenience!
