Using 1 cdj through 2 channels of DJM 900 NXS

I cannot afford to upgrade to the NXS2 and was liking the effects section whereby you can isolate the channel you want effecting by the mid high or low or combination of the 3.

I have 2 CDJs hooked up to the 900 and have put the digital output into channel 1 and used the rcas out of the CDJs into channel 2.

the CDj is now playing through channel 1 and 2 if i want to effect the mid range only i apply the effect onto channel 2 bring up the channel fader whilst reducing the mid range on channel 1 also in channel 2 i apply full cut to highs and lows and BINGO the track is playing with only the mid range being effected.

Anyone else tried this pretty cool and saved me another £700 after selling the 900 and then buying the NXS2.
