Color FX bug on DDJ-RZ, DDJ-RX, DDJ-SZ, DDJ-SX

I have a DDJ-RZ hooked up to RB 4.1.2. The color effects work normally when standalone (uses hardware effects). No problems there.

When i'm hooked up to software , turning the master color effect knob engages both the hardware effects PLUS the software effects. For example if I have noise napped to the top left button (SPACE), then turning this knob engages the software NOISE effect plus the hardware SPACE effect.

Can you have the master knob ONLY use hardware. In other words, have the RB Software ignore input from the master color efx knob. Thanks

P.S. I'm guessing it affects all the units with hardware effects but I've only tested on my DDJ-RZ.

@Harry > The CFX knobs (and many other controls on the audio channel) are "audio-first" which means that you can use them for MIDI control, but their primary function will ALWAYS be to manipulate the audio passed through that channel.

The only way to work around this would be to use internal mixer mode, passing the master audio directly to the master (or a channel you're not using) and then a CFX knob could be assigned without having any audio passing through it.

Hi Mark

Do you still need a video? This still isn't fixed in 4.2.4.

Pretty easy to replicate. Pick color effects in Rekordbox DJ software that is different than the built in hardware effects. Then change the master color effects filter which results in both a hardware effect and software effect simultaneously.

This should be set to hardware only and not engage the software effect for master channel.  Individual channels should be overridden by the software CFX choice.

I think I have the same issue after changing the effects via RBDJ software panel.

Individual channel filters are fine, but if you use the 'Master' filter knob it sounds awful (which based on the above would make total sense!).

Please reference issue 10555 from July 2016, it's an issue for over 3 firmware releases.
