FollowXDJ-R1 Pitch Slider Not Functioning Properly. Will only adjust one way (+).
Hello,
Just got my XDJ-R1 today. The left deck will only allow me to adjust the pitch control (tempo) into the positive. If I try to go below the 0 mark into the negative the bpm does not change and the readout stays at 0.00% as if the pitch is zeroed out. It happened on the v1.09 firmware so I upgraded to the latest v1.12 thinking it would resolve the issue but it does not. I don't think its a mechanical issue with the slider as it moves perfectly both ways. I've googled and I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue. This sucks - I have a gig tonight.
Please help!
Mike

Sure but where am I sending the video?
A few choices - post to YouTube with an unlisted setting, or upload it to a file sharing service.
Thanks Mike, I assume it's the same with content loaded and playing?
Correct. MP3 and CD is the same. The only way I'm able to have full control of the pitch on that deck is if I'm controlling it via RemoteBox.
Yikes, in that case, it sounds like it's probably the hardware that's faulty and would require servicing. Your best bet is to contact Pioneer DJ technical support in your region for further assistance.
Can you verify the part number or send me a link to the pitch control assembly for this unit? I can't find it anywhere including your parts and accessories page when I do a search and I want to try and replace it myself. I've built several computers so it shouldn't be outside of my capabilities.
Thanks!
Unfortunately I don't have that information available, nor am I, or anyone else here on the forum, authorized to provide you with the technical instructions or other details regarding the disassembly, repair or modification of your hardware. Sorry, but you'll have to contact tech support, they'll have the product diagrams and can either direct you to the appropriate part or sell you one.
