What is it?

Hi,

Recently got some cdj400s and a djm 600 moxer

Great kit and cheap. However, the sound coming out of my krks is poor. Not as clear as it was. Sounds quite muddied. Makes it very hard to put sounds together in a mix. Is it the djm 600 or is it the cdjs? I play both with and without a laptop and I've tested the difference and it's not that.

Could it be the sound cards in the 400s just aren't that great?

A friend has the all in one pioneer ddj sx2 and the sound when hooked up to that is so much clearer

I think you're connected on a phono RCA in your DJM600 mixer. Try the line input.

Thanks. I've got xlrs from djm to the krks. Could it just be that the djm or cdjs are just old?

Do you have a picture to clearify your setup?

XLR to XLR shouldn't be a problem.
