Rekordbox IOS App

When I import my tracks from Rekordbox on my Mac, it seems to be importing the full mp3 file with the relevant rekordbox data as well!! This is basically doubling up all my music and using all my remaining memory on my iphone!!

Is there any way you can put music on to it without using so much memory? I have already tried importing from within the app and it uses the same amount of memory but just doesn't import my playlists!!

Cheers

If the track is already on your phone and you're then exporting it from your Mac to your phone again, yes, it will make a duplicate.

If the track is on your phone, there is no need to connect to your Mac at all.  Just import to rekordbox mobile app directly from your phone.

Thanks for the reply Mark, but I tried it both ways and it seem to take the same amount of memory up on my phone. I thought it would just link to the original iTunes mp3 rather than duplicating it in to Rekordbox.

The problem with doing it on my phone is that I need to set up all the playlist again from scratch, Is there not a way you can import tracks and smart playlists directly from iTunes?

Cheers
