Official comment
Rekordbox does not have the ability to convert files. You would need to convert them elsewhere and re-import those new files into rekordbox and analyze them.

File compatibility from cdj - rekordbox
Hi I have just moved to cdj's after 15 years of djing! and one thing is vexing me at the moment, and that is some of my file formats do not work on certain cdjs, M4A being one i believe, I will be playing on 900s this weekend so to be safe i want to burn my playlists to the usb in mp3 320 format, can rekord box do this or do i need to covert the files separately and load the though reckord box again ??

I have found that "Foobar2000" free software works great for me in just about every situation.
