Seamless transitions between USB stick and Rekordbox DJ (NIGHTMARE, PLEASE HELP)

Hi Everyone,

I am having a true nightmare here with Rekordbox and my windows notebook. I absolutely love rekordbox DJ and I never imagined I would have such trouble using the pioneer software made specifically for the equipment.

I am trying to seamlessly transition between another DJ using a USB stick to my rekordbox laptop WITHOUT any audio hiccups. This seems to be impossible on a windows laptop.

Everything works fine in the process...

1. Track playing on USB stick in CDJ 2

2. Plug in both decks via USB to the laptop

3. CDJ 1 choose MIDI control and push to connect

4. Push connect as Deck 1

5. Start playing track on CDJ 1 from rekordbox

Then you must go into the settings menu on rekordbox to select the output channels , and when you do that, the audio playing in track on will stop for a few moments.

This Happens when..

1. Open settings

2. Change any setting within the menu

I cannot do the settings before opening channel 1 because the output channels do not display the CDJ "1" and "2" options which separate the channels yet until tracks are loaded on both decks.

Can someone please help me get to the bottom of this?
