Mixed in Key Cue Points

 Hi Guys,

When is Pioneer going to work with Mixed in Key to let them export Cue Points into Rekordbox?

All other DJ software allow this except Rekordbox, this is a MUST Pioneer!

Thanks!

How about not being lazy and showing some love to your music by making the cuepoints where do you feel them instead of when a software dictates you to have them??

Also you should blame MiK for not being able to write to the rekordbox library - all the MIK does is that it writes the cue information to the dj software library - not that the dj software pulls the information from the MIK. If this doesn't work, MIK is the place where you should complain....

In my personal experience, MiK's auto Cue Point feature is not very accurate and, to my knowledge, adding this capability is not even on Pioneer DJ's radar.

Too bad, it does save a bunch of time for all the old tracks I have. Even if its not accurate on a few occasions. I'll fix that when I actually load the track :p

A workaround would be import them in Serato/VDJ/Traktor and then use Rekordbuddy to export everything to Rekordbox.

I blame both MIK and Pioneer for not having any kind of legitimate ease of use handling for cue points.

First I blame MIK because basically, they release a version of their software, and then never update it again ... get used to it, I own all their software and that's pretty much the way it is.

That's also the reason they are coming out with new software ... because they are working on that, not their existing software.  I've been complaining about Platinum Notes adding the _PN to my filenames, and being a developer myself it's ridiculous they don't have any way to disable or change that, very easy to do, but again, they clearly have no plans to release any updates so I won't hold my breath.

I blame Pioneer for not having any easy way to transfer cue points from one track to another, or be able to associate cue points between tracks

... the only option is Rekordbox XML, which without any software, like Rekordbuddy (which i've spent the past 6 months trying to get my hands on and still have not) .... you're basically SOL.

So yeah, having to setup all my cue points again was VERY and I SAY VERY aggravating when switching from other software.

Luckily enough I was able to automate some of the process, which in my case I had to use this to get them out of Serato: https://smyl.es/downloads/download-info/serato-to-traktor-ssl-database-importer-for-mac-osx/

MiK lets you edit all its automated cue points, so the automation is not the problem. Virtual DJ and other DJ software read them, as they are written to the mp3 file.
My question is not whether Rekordbox can read those cue points - I gave up using Rekordbox, though it was licensed with my controller, just because its inability to talk to the the world outside its universe.
My question is whether at least the professional controllers are able to read those file-internal cue points from an USB stick - in my case I have the possibility to play with a DJM-900NXS2, but it is essential to have my cue points with me.

No, our mixers do not read cue points.  Players can read cue points that are created either on the player itself or within rekordbox.

Thanks for your quick response. Of course, there are two players (CDJ-2000NXS2) attached. I erroneously thought the intelligence is where the stick is plugged in… ;-)

However, obviously your hardware cannot do the job, so I will stick with my own controller and VDJ.

@rebelK > It sounds to me like you don't understand how the hardware works -- a DJM wouldn't be able to do anything with the cue points even if they were stored by another software application.

From the Mixed in Key website:

Notice there is no mention of these cue points working with rekordbox or CDJs.  Cue point information in rekordbox and on CDJs is stored differently than in Serato and Traktor.
