My DDJ SB2 is not connecting

My Pioneer DDJ SB2 controller is not being seen

I am using 10.9.5 OS

I was using an older version of Serato, but since this problem occurred I now have Serato 1.9.2

I've been using this for 6 months no problem, but it's simpy not working

I tried every step on the Serato troubleshooting page to no avai, can you help me?

Please try this.

  1. Disconnect your DDJ-SB2.
  2. On your Mac, go to:  Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup > Window > Show MIDI Studio.  You should see you DDJ-SB2 on that screen.  
  3. Click it to select, press delete.  
  4. Reconnect your DDJ-SB2.

I tried that multiple times along with all the advice in the trouble shooting section.

Should my device light up on another computer, even one that does not have the Serato software?

I plugged into a USB port for a PC and it did not activate

Yes, your device should light up once it is plugged in.  You could have a faulty USB cable.  If swapping out the USB cable doesn't solve the problem I would advise you to contact Pioneer DJ technical support in your region for further assistance.
