I know the pioneer team are probably trying hard with rekord box but the more and more I use it it's just awful ,it really needs a kick,even the whole ui Imo just seems dated ,it's just horrible to use ,I really hope it changes for the better soon,was well chuffed getting hold of an rr for my bday but I haven't enjoyed using it one bit ,the Sr was brilliant.the collection as well for me seems a bit daft,literally your whole collection on one screen ,I know you can add to a playlist but everything is just better and more organised in folders,it's hard to explain all the bugs and things that happen and the whole experience of using the controller with the software other than that it's a rugged unreliable experience.I'm not complaining for the sake of it,I'm complaining because I think it could be so much better and pioneer are making some mint controllers,just the software is weak : (
Thanks for the feedback. Please keep in mind that this software is less than one year old. It's technically still in it's infancy and has really come a long way in a relatively short period of time. The Software is very Good but the UI could be more organized. U have so many Menues in the Screens that are Clickable , thats far to much
Its hard to get along with the Software if you used serveral years another Product but when you are in touch with RB ist very Good and dont Forget RB is very new . There are other DVS System out there for years, at the Begining they had the same Problems, they developed their Products over years now. Pioneer will get better soon, they are working hard on it.
Maybe you should Post your improvements as an Idea in the specific Forum, Pioneer will take a Look on it and maybe ur changes/improvements geta Chance to be imployed in one of the next Versions.
It's a lot of money though,I know the rr is not as expensive as some but it's still 550 ,pioneer is superior ,the software should be as superior as the hardware ,yeah it's early days with the software but this is pioneer,people buy pioneer cos it's the dogs b.......
I actually like the UU for Rekordbox. Since I got my RZ about 2 months ago I've been very impressed (aside from a couple of bugs) and I've now completely transitioned from Traktor.
I took a risk with the new software and glad I did....
If you dislike it that much, why not go back to the SR and Serato? Sounds like it'd be the better choice for you (until the software becomes more established, maybe).
I'd consider an sx it's faffing about tho
