silence before tracks

Hello!

I was wondering if there is a setting to have silence before songs?

I am an open format dj that has always used software. I normally use turntables and i often "scratch songs in" when playing. If the sound i'm trying to "scratch in" starts immediately, it doesn't act as it should. In "single" play mode, the playhead won't go behind the start of the song, which causes problems when scratching. In "continuous" play mode, it will go back to the previous song in the playlist which also causes problems when scratching. Is it possible to add a "single extended" mode, that would let the song be spun backward from the start? For example, songs start at 0:00 …this would allow songs to move infintiely into "negative time" (-0:01 … -0:02 and so on).

Open format djing with USB sticks via rekordbox is becoming more and more popular from big time DJs (LaidbackLuke, Trentino, Styles&Complete) to people who do club gigs like myself. We love the convenience and stability that Rekordbox/Pioneer offers. It's also nice to play without a laptop. This is a small gripe, but it's one that keeps a scratch guy like me from using my CDJs all the time. When playing a 4hr club set, it's important for me to get into a rhythm and feel the music. Scratching songs in helps me. It's seems like a manageable firmware update to me… Unless there's a setting that i'm missing that will help me lol. Thank you!
