Is that only when there is no audio playing or do you hear it over and above any audio when you press the button?
Hi guys,
If a quiet song plays on channel 1, and I press CUE on channel 2 (which is not up to hear on master) I got a random cracking noises on the master, booth and cue output... sometimes more sometimes less. I cant find a logic behind this...
My music store (thomann) cant find the issue, so they send it over to you (pioneer) and your team didnt find the problem too :(
The borrow device from thomann had the same issue...
Any Idea?! Sucks rly..
Some mp3 to check:

I already tried it over lan/wlan (rekordbox) or usb, with 100 of various tracks..
Maybe u got a tip for me...

@ Pulse > I'm sorry, I did not see that your answer was on page 2.
Yes it happens in all possible situations it seems to me. My RX2 is currently at the store and the technician is looking for a solution. According to him, I am the only one to hear it. Fortunately for me, this topic proves that I am not alone in this situation.
Best regards.
Hello again,
Some notice from this theme? It turns out that the store where I bought my product agreed to exchange it for a new device. Well this new gear comes with the same problem as the previous one ... There is no way to format the internal operating system? The cracking noise I think is a software problem, since it is something completely random. After updating to the latest version (1.32) Cracking is much smoother. I will specify when it does:
1- When you press loop in. (Only do it once, until you upload a new song)
2-Whenever a new song is loaded by pressing slip loop, the first time it always does this cracking, but then it does not return to do it again, until it reloads a new song.
3-When you press cue repeatedly.
With the beatloop option, everything is perfect.
There is no way to format? Or restart the gear?
I thought that maybe it is possible that it is because of the pendrive, a failure to read the tracks.
thank in advance.
I suffer from the same issue on my XDJ-RX2 using firmware version 1.31.
Randomly (and it really is randomly) I get a little crack when I press the CUE button on the inactive track. No effects, no nothing.
Hi guys…
Pioneer doesnt do anything for us!
I opened a ticket a year ago, send them videos, mp3 recording, screenshots from my xdj-rx settings, and they are still not able to reproduce this problem! I switched my XDJ-RX two times with new devices from my seller, still got the same problem.
The funny thing about that problem is, that both users (XDJ-RX1 & 2) has got the same problem.
So… What to do?
Thanks guys, our engineers have been able to replicate the issue and are looking into a solution.
Any new for this issue?
Thanks in advance!
No updates yet, sorry.
Hello, its been close to 4 month since you were able to reproduce the error. Any progress on this? Is it hardware or software? When and how can we expect a fix, or whats the path forward?
Hello Ebbe Strandell,
This problem seems that Pioneer does not know how to solve it. I took about 5 months or more for them to give me a solution and apparently I will have to stay with a defective equipment. It seems ridiculous...Soon I will make a video destroying my XDJ against the ground. Is the only way...
The worst money I have ever spent in my life...
Good luck to new Pioneer users.
For me this company is died.
@Pulse > Hello, it's been 4 months now that your engineers are aware of the problem on this machine, where are we today ? Do you think it will be possible to correct this problem with an update of the software or a replacement / update of the hardware in the near future ?
Best regards
They were able to replicate the issue, but the last notes I have on the ticket are that they were not able to trace the source and as this is a discontinued product, they don't have a timeline for a fix. Sorry.
The RX2 is not a discontinued product.
This is not acceptable.
The DDJ-RX certainly is.
This thread is on XDJ-RX , with users of XDJ-RX2 reporting the same issue.
I dont understand how the DDJ-RX is related to this thread.
And users of the RX2 also started posting here.
I'm very confused.
On July 31 you wrote that your engineers had been able to reproduce the issue. What system or systems was is reproduced on? DDJ-RX, XDJ-RX or XDJ-RX2?
Now you write that there is no timeline as the system is discontinued. What system or systems are you referring to as discontinued? DDJ-RX, XDJ-RX or XDJ-RX2?
What about the other systems, that are not discontinued (should at least include XDJ-RX2), when can we expect a fix, if at all?
The issue was reproduced on an XDJ-RX and RX2. They were able to reproduce it, but not trace the source. The RX will likely not get a fix, I have no information on the RX2.
Issue confirmed on XDJ-RX2 firmware v1.34.
A DJ system that creates artifact sounds on Phones, Booth and Master when you press CUE button on a track with no volume is broken imho. This thread was opened close to 2.5 years ago. What is the plan moving forward?
I'd be very interested in hearing Product Management's response to this.
@Ebbe > "They were able to reproduce it, but not trace the source."
They are still investigating this, but we do not have a timeline to provide you at this time. Thank you for your patience.
I recently bought an RX2 and am running on Firmware 1.34. I can report that this issue is affecting me, too. I don't know excactly how to reproduce it, but it seems the cracking is not caused by external influences.
Really hoping for a fix. Payed 2000€ for new equipment and I don't want to send it back nor do I want random cracks during gigs.
@Willy > See my previous statements; they are working to resolve this issue. Thanks.
Any update on this ? I really hope Pioneer find a fix for it before a new product launch.
See my response from Dec. 23rd.
I am closing this topic until such time as we have additional details to contribute, as I'm not going to keep saying "nothing yet" every time someone asks.
