DJM-S9 with Serato DJ Crashing

I bought a DJM-S9 about 4 months ago and i thought it was the best purchase i have ever made. The last two weeks has changed my mind. I don't believe i have done anything different but everytime I do a mix, after two or three songs the waveform on Serato DJ starts to go slow and glitch and then the music just stops. `the screen then freezes and I have to close SDJ down which takes forever and I have to force quit it.

I have tried Scratch Live through my SL3 box and it works fine. It is Serato Dj for definite when plugged into the S9

I have uninstalled and Re-installed the drivers, updated the firmware which is 1.06, I have tried Serato DJ 1.18 &1.19 and still the problem occurs.

My Macbook pro is late 2012 with 16gb & 1TB and is running Yosemite as i didn't want to upgrade to El Capitan because i heard bad things. I don't get why it has suddenly started doing this and now I just can't use the mixer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

@jay > Do you have any other software running in the background that might be causing undue resource consumption? Where is the CPU meter when the freeze occurs?

Try opening the Resource Monitor when you have this problem and see what it says. Here's an example of mine:

I have nothing running in the background. I was using dicers too but disconnected them and still the same issues occurred. The CPU meter goes right down, then the bars go red on each deck and the waveform slows right down and then everything stops. I've tried it with different Serato DJ programmes e.g. 1.8.1 etc.

When i turn off the mixer the music starts playing again on Serato DJ and then i turn the mixer back on and it works again but only for a few songs and then the same problem.

Could it be the mixer and not the programme?

New DJM-S9 firmware has been released.  Please update and let us know if the problem remains.  Thank you.
