NEW xdj 1000 mk2

Pioneer are the worst company for drip feeding features and im starting to get a bit annoyed.

so theres a new xdj but it really doesnt hit the spot and the price is as ridiculous as always.

this player needed the hot cue and delete hot cue from the cdj2000 nxs2 ie controller software style TRUE HOT CUES!

where are the 4 8 32 beat jumps? still only 4 what a joke

no led platter, litterally $2 addition

sorry i forgot this is pioneer, and all the things you really want will be on the mk3 pathetic!!!

just realease the one we want! a xdj that is infact half of the RXZ with a screen from a NXS2 + controlls and pads in a standalone unit

hopefully by the time of the XCDJ 30000 mk26 it will all be under one roof

I agree
I love the quality of the products but still the same history.
Play with a fully integrated and risky controler or Play with many players never full of options but secure......😥

Yeah, it would have been nice if the 1000mkII had the LED platters. I wonder if the 700's are going to get a quick refresh as well. If it's still coming, the CDJ-900NXS2 is now in a weird spot.

Sadly, such is the reality with technology and its continuing, rapid growth–be it DJ, phone/tablet, computer, video game consoles, etc. The trend of incremental updates will probably be around for a bit as we're currently seeing with the upcoming home consoles a la the PS4 NEO and Xbox 4K (or whatever its called). Eventually (most likely when sales falter or market oversaturation occurs) will see more definitive models with a longer shelf life where functionality is gained through incremental updates.

Where Pioneer differs from other companies is that they offer the only solution that enables the user to have unparalleled creativity and the functionality of a controller within a standalone unit that doesn't require a laptop connection to function. Until another company steps up and produces a product that is beyond comparable to the Pioneer professional line up products, they're in the driver's seat. I say that not to bash Pioneer or patronize the consumer, rather, a simple statement based on my own observations having been a part of the DJ/audio production industry for nearly 17 years now.

Personally, and this is purely my own speculation, I have a feeling that next significant release will be a hybrid of the XDJ-1000MK2 and the CDJ-2000NXS2. Specifically, an XDJ that retains the majority of the essential physical buttons of the CDJ2KNXS2 (ex: hot cues, quantize), but is absent of SD card slot and CD drive with an MSRP around $1,700. It will probably lack a a couple things the 2000 has just for marketing/seller's sake (ex: illuminated "on-air" platter ring, platter), but will essentially be a CDJ-2000NXS2, sans the CDJ part and a few buttons. :)

The other possibility (one that I would personally love to see) is a XDJ-RX-NXS that has the works–two full size platters, a 4-channel mixer w/nearly all the functionality of the DJM900-NXS2, two dedicated displays (one per deck), with a pro-DJ link output so users can add additional XDJ/NXS2 decks. I'd pay top dollar for that. :)

Again, the above mentioned is purely speculation.

Cheers.

The DDJ-RZX is about as close to what your describing. It just lacks the standalone capability though.
