rekordbox 4.2.2 F* up your playlist ability

https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/articles/212424846-rekordbox-4-2-2-has-been-released-September-8th-2016?flash_digest=f2ca7b7dfd8f5701c5e1ea506c86fe7147c07e51#

has been released with a vast amount of bug fixes.

and while it seems to fix things it also helps you to loose your thumb drive saved playlists. Isn't that a cool feature?

E.g. do not update.

I have three systems. One that has an old 3.x rekorbox. It can read (!) a 4.x created playlist. Cool! The other way around, a 3.x playlist is - as we know, since it's never been fixed, not possible without major hassles to import into  new rekordbox versions.

Now, software writing is exptremely difficult -- if you don't know what you do.

Anyways, The 4.2.1 transition where you can see the playlists on your thunbdrive --> 4.2.2 will cause you not to see the playlists anymore.

And again -- given the fact that any player can see any version created of a playlist and rekordbox cannot (and with the 4.2.2. making it even worse) -- shows that software is difficult. If you don';t test stuff, nor know what you do that is.

I know very talented people who can write software for rekordbox. Maybe time to hire them. And test, please test. PLEASE TEST.

I have tested the 4.2.1 --> 4.2.2 on two systems and both have a f* up playlist now. Luckily the players can read them.

It's a shame. And open sourcing is not the way to go I have been reading here.

Pulse: when oh when is Pioneer getting it's act together and really starts listeing to us? Really a shame.

I reverted back both instances and 4.2.1. works 'ok' (at least the paylist works).

People who need the 4.2.1. windows excutable after they inadvertedly updated: -- drop a line.
