CPU usage

How are ya? Wondering if the high CPU usage has been reduced in 4.2.4? And wondering if I upgrade from ddj sr to rr will that some how lower the CPU usage ? Sorry for the dumb questions lol. I have MacBook pro early 2011 2.3 GHz. 8 gig ram i5 and 320 storage thank you

...and 4.2.3 already said there were changes to reduce the CPU load.

Upgrading your hardware from sr to rr won't decrease the CPU load–the CPU load is dependent on factors: your computer's specs, running background processes, etc.

Have you reduced the redraw speed as well as disable your firewall and close any background apps running (ie virus scanner)? That can help save a little CPU. Also, how much free space is left on your hard drive? If less than a gig, you may need to upgrade it.

You should also update to 4.2.4 as the previous version had a bug.

Thank you sir for the all the great info! I will update to 4.2.4 and hopefully CPU usage will decrease ,it's at 60 percent but no drop outs and meter is low on RB.Also didn't read about CPU load fix maybe that's what stability and minor issues mean and I also optimized Mac like I do with serato and the CPU load with that is 20 percent.
