The XDJ-RX itself even records in WAV, so you can definitely play them.
E 8305 on WAV files.
Converted files to MP3 (320kps) works and works as WAV in Rekordbox, but not on controller as WAV.
MP3 no disrespect but is not quality sound when compared to WAV, and it seems the XDJ may not be able to play the larger WAV files due to Mb. Can you assist with troubleshooting this issue please.
- Tried following
- formatting USB to FAT 32
- converting to MP3 - works, but I purchased the machine for WAV as old school DJ that either has vinyl and converted it, or used CDs\WAV from various sites. I hope this was not marketed at bedroom DJs that use MP3 only, hence why this problem seems common without a current fix?
WAV files not read with error E-8305
Thanks Matt

Yup, it will play them -- it's even silk-screened right on the front!

What exactly are you considering a "large" WAV file? Is it like a 1hr long mixset? How long is it? What's the bit/sample rate of the file?
Dear Pulse,
It seems I have the same problem as Matt.
I recently bought some tracks from bandcamp in .wav format.
And when I put them through rekordbox everything seems normal, but when I try to load them in my XDJ-RX the error E-8305 UNSUPPORTED appears.
Please help me out
I read somewhere that someone had the same issue and they were 48000Hz WAV's. Converting them to 44100Hz solved their issue?
All my tracks that don't work are allready 44100Hz
Pioneer. Could please provide advice on this as all my files are per the specs in your instructional manual. There has been no definitive answer on this in the last 12 months and if the product has faults please assist. I suggest someone calls me to trouble shoot, or I will raise with another area. Forums are not the most appropriate medium for ongoing issues, and you have no tech support you can call? This is surprising, maybe the product was designed for bedroom djs that only use MP3, and the WAV files your console convert are limited? Lastly should I really have to wait a week or more for this to be solved or an answer to be provided, noting you send me some screen shot like I am an blind, yes I know your product says it plays them, but physically its not
yep - mine plays - 44100hz 24bit Wav's = Maybe yours are 32bit ? maybe ? Check if they are 24bit
There are, in fact, MANY reasons a WAV might not play - if you are having problems with a particular file, post it here and we can analyse it for you.
