There is a search if you go to the browse menu and click on the 'filter type' box and change it to 'text'. You can then seach on text like 'kick' etc.
Also if you press shift and use the dial it jumps to the next folder above or below when searching.
The folder management is pretty basic though, definitely needs sorting out..
