xdjr1 freezing

Hi, I have my unit for 2 years and I've been having issues with the unit since September 2015. (1) I can't use it in MIDI mode cause the sound is distorted, it used to happen a little while into a gig but now it happens during the first song. Since then I am playing with CD's and USB but now the volume goes up for no reason when i'm playing with the USB (32 gig Verbatim 3.0). My firmware is up to date. I am in South Africa and no one can give me advice on how to sort out my issues. The pioneer support in SA not very good. I enjoy my unit but also find it a let down that the brand has not been forthcoming with solutions. I know my warranty is over but if I wanted a unit that would last 2 years or so I would have purchased another brand.

Now, what recourse do I have, I can't sell the unit knowing about its issues. Do look at other brands for the next unit or Pioneer credits me most of my money and let me purchase something else in their range.
