Wego K not recognised

Problem Connecting DDJ-WeGo K to Computer

Hi,

I bought a DDJ-WeGO K a few days ago and I am having some trouble connecting it to my computer and getting it to be recognised on my PC. I have downloaded the appropriate drivers that have been issued on your website for the sound card but still nothing. When I try to run it through Virtual DJ an error message appears (image attached), stating:

"no sound card

Pioneer DDJ_WeGO ASIO

Failed to initialize ASIO driver"

I have checked the program files and all the files are there and the driver is properly installed (re-installed 3-4 times same with virtual DJ). I also went to the hassle of trying to update the firmware as I thought that may fix the issue but yet again it pops up with a message stating:

"Your DDJ-WeGo is not connected"

AMD Athlon Quad Core

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

8 GB Ram

Hello Dave and Jason,

Will you please follow the steps below to reinstall the DDJ-WeGO driver?

[Steps]

1. Remove DDJ- WeGO from your PC.

2. Close VirtualDJ.

3. Uninstall the DDJ-WeGO driver from Control Panel > Programs and Features.

4. Reboot Windows.

5. Install DDJ- WeGO driver again from the link below.

6. Connect DDJ- WeGO to your PC again.

7.Turn on the power switch of DDJ- WeGO.

8. Launch VirtualDJ.

After installing the driver, go to Start > Pioneer > DDJ-WeGO > DDJ_WeGO Version Display Utility as shown below.

Please check "Pioneer_DDJ_WeGO_Version.exe" is shown in the Version Display Utility.

If you still have any issues, please let us know.

Hi Mate

Just purchased on myself off ebay and same problem as you. pc wont recognize the wego. got the new driver, cant update firmware as it wont connect to the wego. seems there is alot of this out there but no hard answers.

Im running windows 7 pro 32bit 4gb ram

Very frustrated....

Surely someone must know if there is a fix or if the unit is faulty?
