DDJ Rev 1 - no audio

Hi! I just opened and began to use my DDJ rev 1 with Serato Lite 3.0 on my Macbook pro (Monterey) and the levels and controls are picking up/working, but the audio is not. When I unplug my rev 1, the audio works on speakers and on the mac. I have tried different Mac outputs, ensured the "use laptop speakers" is enabled on Serato, and tried every other online solution to no avail. My volume is up on both the controller and computer and I can't find any other solution for no audio, thank you :)
