DJM S9 Vs DJM S11 - volume difference?

Hi,  One thing I noticed about the S9 was that the volume was pretty quiet.  Just got an S11 and it's about 50% louder than the S9 was. 

Is the S11 actually 50% louder than the S9 or is my S9 just faulty?

The S11 has better phono pre-amps in it when using analog vinyl AND the S11 has a better DAC chip onboard. I believe it's the same audio chipset thats in their DJM 900NXS. Your S9 is fine, it's just inferior to the S11s internals. Hope that answers your question. Peace!
